Diamond grew up playing basketball as his passion for many years. During his sophomore year of high school, I played a pick-up volleyball game with his now father-in-law. His father-in-law played beach volleyball and had a grass court at his house. He invited Diamond to play on a weekly basis and he never looked back. Diamond felt the transition from basketball to beach volleyball was a really good choice. He is still able to play in the local area.

When Diamond found out about The Lab, he knew he had to be a part of it. He coached indoor club for years and felt that it was finally time to transition to the beach game where his passion lies. He is now the Director of Operations for The Lab.

He and his wonderful wife Lisa have two daughters (Maddy and Janelle). His oldest daughter, Maddy, trained with The Lab and is now playing beach volleyball for the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His younger daughter, Janelle, is currently training with The Lab and plays indoor at Chatfield High School.
